Hello, I’m Gabriel Gutierrez, founder of The Spot—San Marcos’ spot for sharp cuts, fresh fades, and next-level grooming. My journey into barbering was inspired by personal circumstances. When my son fell ill, I needed to be there for him, which led me to open a clothing store. Within a year, I added a barbershop to the store, and that’s when my passion for barbering truly sparked. I pursued a barber’s license, traveling an hour from home to complete 1,500 hours of schooling, followed by the written and practical Texas board exams. That dedication culminated in opening a second location and growing The Spot into the community hub it is today.

I’m more than a barber—I’m a husband, father, singer, and a man of faith. My love for the Lord guides everything I do, from serving our community to giving every client the attention they deserve. Music is my heartbeat—I sing because it brings joy, connects people, and reminds us to celebrate life.

With over 15 years of experience, including a background in water restoration that honed my precision, patience, and attention to detail, I feel fulfilled when I make a positive impact. I love meeting people, hearing their stories, and creating a personalized, uplifting experience with every visit.
